Small and big gadgets I use for my iPhone, iPad, computers or travel. Things that help me out, bring me joy, are useful and I would recommend. These are not detailed reviews, but more of impressions.
Hello, I’m Michael Sliwinski, founder of Nozbe - to-do app for business owners and their teams. I write essays, books, work on projects and I podcast for you using #iPadOnly in #NoOffice as I believe that work is not a place you go to, it’s a thing you do.
Now that the summer is looming and it’s going to be the hottest summer in the history of mankind, you should be wearing sunglasses. If you’re like me, and you like to listen to podcasts or audio books, consider getting a 2-in-1 - sunglasses with audio Bluetooth for around 30-40 bucks.
The trouble with iPhone 15 Pro or my previous 15 Mini any other iPhones for that matter is that I can’t use them case-less. I’ve tried and I’m just too stressed about the iPhone when it’s outside of the case. But… the cases add bulk and weight to the otherwise lighter and smaller titanium iPhone. So I started searching for a perfect case which would offer a basic protection and would be as slim and light as can be. Here’s what I’ve got:
A few years back I got my first drone from DJI Mavic series - Mavic Air - and while it was a fun novelty, it didn’t get me to fly a drone much. However last year I upgraded to Mini 3 Pro drone and this one got me hooked. Here’s my short review of this drone: why I love it so much, why even my family likes it when I fly it and how I use it.
Exactly 7 years ago today, I took ownership of my first ever new car. I remember being very apprehensive about getting such an expensive car, even though I had a unique opportunity of getting it at significant discount. I was studying its price list very diligently trying to find the perfect balance of specs, extras and value for money. Turns out, this car has aged exceedingly well and not only do I keep driving my family in it today, but we are immensely enjoying it. Here are 7 outstanding features that I still enjoy after 7 years of ownership of Audi Q7:
This day has come. 🤓 Today I picked up my first pair of prescription glasses for reading. My 20/20 eyesight is gone. Now I need glasses for reading. It’s only a 0.75 correction, but it’s meaningful. Especially when I’m writing on the iPad which is pretty close to my face. I’m in my mid-forties and the time has come. So how do I look?
Hello and Happy New Year 2024! Today is day 1 and I’m starting off this year with an update to my travel pouch and backpack, now that I’ve upgraded my trusty iPhone 13 Mini to USB-C powered iPhone 15 Pro. This changed helped me to streamline my setup and get rid of many Lightning dongles:
I’ve always liked ergonomic keyboards. I’ve been an early user of the first model of Microsoft’s “Natural Keyboard” in my Windows years and later also had the Sculpt Ergonomic keyboard but it stopped working after only 2 years and wasn’t well suited for the Mac. So I just kept using my solar-powered K760 Logitech keyboard which I bought in… December of 2012 - over 10 years ago! However, I missed the “natural/ergonomic” keyboard layout and decided to try the Logitech ERGO K860 and as I kept using it I also decided to “integrate it” with the Apple Trackpad in my home office. Here’s my review:
Last year I wrote a long post about AirTags and how I use them and if you haven’t read it, I do recommend you to check it out and buy a set of 4 AirTags right away. You’ll thank me later! Today I’d like to focus on two niche and controversial uses of AirTags - people and cars.
This tip has blown my mind 🤯. It turns out that with a basic super glue and Baking soda (or Sodium Bicarbonate) you can fix almost anything. It started with my daughter’s headphones - her Beats Solo 3 wireless broke and initially I wanted to buy the replacement parts, but then I stumbled across a video (embedded below) that convinced me to do it differently. Here’s the result of my fix:
Two years ago I posted the contents of my backpack and all the tech gear I have there. Until recently that’s how I was carrying all my cables and tech. However recently I re-examined my setup and bought some new pouches and from now on this is how I’m carrying all my gear:
