A year ago I sent this video to John Siracusa trying to convince him to use Nozbe for his feedback gathering for the ATP.FM show. I love the ATP (Accidental Tech Podcast) show and I’m a paying member and in one of the members’ special episode: Insider: Making of the show one of the hosts - John Siracusa explained how he was emailing himself to manage feedback for the show - I tried to convince him to use my app instead:
Nozbe has great email support
My main argument was that because Nozbe has amazing email support (you can forward emails to your account, a project, section or even a task) he could use my app not only as a to-do app but as a feedback gathering mechanism.
Actually, the email-to-task feature is one of our killer features in Nozbe and our customers really love it. They depend on it. They even use Nozbe-generated email addresses to subscribe to services or newsletters.
Some customers use such email addresses as a way to “integrate” other apps with Nozbe. In their specialized apps they put these emails for notifications - so when their app does something, the notification automatically creates a task in Nozbe. I think it’s brilliant.
Table of contents
Here’s what I’m talking about in the video:
- 0:00 Introduction
- 1:17 Nozbe overview
- 2:07 New project for feedback
- 3:25 Quick add on Mac or Windows
- 5:10 Mobile app and Share sheet
- 6:19 Email integration with Nozbe
- 8:05 Managing a project with sections
- 9:48 Advanced features and tags
- 10:50 Summary and recommendation
John ultimately didn’t give it a try…
I sent this video privately to John via Mastodon and he wasn’t convinced. However, now that I think about it, I’m not sure he watched the video until the end to really appreciate the email integration. After all, I started with basic to-do stuff and only in the 7th minute showed the email integration. Maybe I lost him in the process…
Anyway, I decided to post this video here because maybe he didn’t like this idea but maybe you are in John’s shoes and are also gathering feedback from many places and you might take advantage of my walkthrough.
It call can be done with a free Nozbe account!
The email integration is available to free Nozbe account users as well, so what I’m showing in this vide can be done completely for free as Nozbe is free for up to 3 active projects and 3 people on your team.
So in theory all three co-hosts could manage their ATP podcast with Nozbe… one can dream!
